The Secret

The much hailed "Secret" seems to have brought the 'Law of Attraction' into sharp focus recently through its appearance on numerous websites and a sudden surge of people now teaching the Law of Attraction.

As a 'Law', it has validity, ask anyone with a knowledge of metaphysics…Intent creates energy - and energy migrates to energy its always been that way. That’s no secret…

As someone who teaches spiritual transformation through acceptance, realization and working through ones karma to transcend to higher levels, this positive outlook approach  is an essential ingredient to "lighting our way".
Yet recent emails, comments and websites proclaiming magic properties to this phenomenon seem to be confusing what is an accepted law of metaphysics ( in parallel to Newton's Laws of Physics of action creating reaction ) to an almost magical level of manifesting anything we require from a place of want or need.

Within the framework of  working through ones life karma the law of attraction is definitely an element but if anyone wants to see the bigger picture and how it fits in to what is each of our individual life challenges, we must accept the basic foundation of spiritual transformation which is the overcoming of the I, the ego the want and the need.

Attracting abundance can and sometimes will also mean attracting challenges because they are a part of why we're here. Learning, understanding and progressing. The laws of multiplicity and duality and abdication of external satiation or fulfillment are still alive and well too..

So for anyone who wants to manifest from a place of want or need for satiation of personal desire or lack of fulfillment, this law of attraction is not going to work for you, or if it does it will attract what you want with an ever bigger lesson attached....

Not needing o or wanting but becoming what we want to be is the order of the day and will attract like things

I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction. Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion, and elimination of ignorance, selfishness, and greed.-
